About Me
A little bit about me - I'm happily married for 25 yrs with two adult sons. I'm a big sports fan, lifelong learner, and love to travel. I love my dogs (really any dog), and I enjoy the laid back big city vibe of living in Fort Worth. I prefer hanging out with a few friends rather than big crowds. Some of my favorites are good BBQ, chips & queso, ice cream, and either a robust red or nice craft IPA. I try to both read and exercise daily. I would describe myself as a man of deep faith, curious mind, and generous heart.
On a more professional note, I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (Texas license #205055) and have a Masters of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy from Texas Wesleyan University. I am EMDR trained and a Certified Facilitator for Prepare/Enrich (marriage & pre-marital work). I have worked in multiple therapy settings including a brain injury rehabilitation clinic and an addiction recovery center. I also have a Masters of Divinity from Duke University Divinity School and served in Christian ministry for more than 20 years (including 12 years on college campuses) before moving into full-time therapy and counseling.

Counseling Services

Couples Counseling
All relationships struggle at times and can benefit from support and resources. My hope is to help couples grow healthier in communication, navigate change and challenges, grow capacity to repair and resolve conflicts, interrupt and unlearn unhealthy relationship cycles, better understand the roots of relationship struggles, build healthier life patterns and practices, and develop more meaningful emotional connection.

Grief and Trauma
Grief is a universal experience that is different for everyone. I have extensive experience walking with those who have lost loved ones, experienced significant changes in health, lost jobs and relationships, or are grieving other difficult seasons and losses in life.
Trauma sticks with us and often keeps us stuck. I am committed to providing a safe and empathetic environment to reprocess the impact of trauma, and work towards reclaiming a sense of safety and empowerment. I am trauma-informed and EMDR trained (ask me about this if these are new letters to you!).

Stress, Growth & Wellness
It is a privilege to walk with people through stressful times and encourage people towards healing and growth. I have 25 years of experience supporting youth, adults, and families through all kinds of challenges and transitions.
Whatever you are going through, growth and change ARE possible. It's an honor and privilege to create space for you to seek out and regain a sense of health and wellness.
Insurance Accepted
Affordable and accessible care is important to me. I take insurance (through Headway platform), keep cash rates reasonable, and offer sliding scale for demonstrated need. If out-of-network, I will provide documentation for you to seek reimbursement or benefits.
